“Qulayotgan tog’lar” by Chingiz Aytmatov
Chingiz Aitmatov penned the book “Falling Mountains,” also known as “Mangu Kaylyk,” in the final years of his life. He emphasized in it the stark and painful changes occurring in people’s fate, life, and consciousness, as well as the spiritual and economic issues facing the contemporary world, which has transitioned to a market economy and is swiftly entering the processes of globalization. These issues are closely related to the reality of Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia. He discussed the different occurrences in society, nature, and human destiny as well as all of their tragedies. The writing has the feel of a great writer’s final testament to future generations.
