The battle of Pakistani children against the oppression of the two sides—colonialists and local authorities—is the primary theme of “Looking for Light.” While battling for the independence and welfare of the populace, the major characters of the novel, Ahmed Husayn and Iskandaro, work to win their love. Despite his dire financial circumstances, Ahmad Husayn won’t perform any work that conflicts with his religious convictions. Ahmed Husayn and Iskandaro had a deep love for one another, and their hearts were full of dreams and hopes for a bright future for both of them and the people that the “Looking for Light” sun  is travelling toward. ..
