“Yolg’izlikning yuz yili” by Gabriel Garsia Markes
Regarding this book, Marquez says: “I would pull out “One Hundred Years of Solitude” and set it on fire. For whatever reason, I did not have enough time to write this book well, and I am ashamed of it.” Nevertheless, despite the author’s self-satisfaction, the work drastically altered the field of writing. Because up until Márquez, literature was not primarily concerned with the factors that led to humankind’s inescapable isolation.
