“Oqqush, cho’rtanbaliq va qisqichbaqa” by Ivan Krylov
Ivan Krylov is regarded as an exceptional parables representative not only in Russian literature but also in international literature. The majority of the characters in his fables are animals, birds, and woodland dwellers. When he describes the interactions between living things, he holds a mirror up to them, illuminating the flaws and weaknesses of individuals as well as social injustices. Krylov responded, “This genre is intelligible to everyone: both peasants and children read it,” when asked why he primarily writes parables. This widely used element inspires the author to communicate different concepts in his own unique manner, including in comedic and satirical contexts.
