“Iztirob” by Rashod Nuri Guntekin
Senior instructor at the school, Zahro is the play’s primary character. In one word, a vibrant woman who is selfless, enthusiastic, and diligent. The head of education, who is Zahra’s supervisor, greatly appreciates her and recognizes her accomplishments at work, but she is unable to accept one quality about her worker: Zahra lacks empathy and forgivingness. Perhaps the cause of this can be traced back to his early years spent in a terrible environment; perhaps these emotions were driven away by the sleepless nights he spent fearing his parents’ arguments and the tears that were shed without him.
