“Bolalik xotiralarim” by Oybek
The early years of the 20th century, the immediate effects of the events in February and October 1917 on Uzbekistan, and how the writer’s child’s heart adjusted to the upheaval of that period are all well-written in this work, which is an unexpected turn for Oybek’s writing. After all, it was hard to speak openly about modern enlightened individuals, the facts of the 1930s and 1950s, the Second World War’s actual causes, and the 1960s’ “warm period.” Because of this, the author’s goal in writing “CHILDHOOD MEMORIES” wasn’t just to recount his life; it was also, as was already indicated, to convey the truth about current events.
